Abbey View produce have been supplying quality fresh salads to the UK market for more than 50 years. Working closely with an established network of growers both at home and abroad, we are able to deliver quality products to major retailers, catering companies and the UK wholesale markets throughout the year.

We are looking for motivated and confident individual to join our growing business as an Operational Shift Manager, working a day-shift pattern of 4 on and 4 off.

The key responsibilities

Summary - To manage the day to day operational aspects within the pack-house to ensure that the quality of all incoming goods is at a standard set by Abbey View and all outgoing goods are up to the standards required by our customers.

What I do:

  • Management of all Pack-House staff.

  • Maintain an efficient workforce.

  • Driving improvement and motivation through ‘hands on’ and collaborative approach with my colleagues.

  • I ensure all production targets are met.

  • Monitor, review and investigate all missed production targets.

  • I Implement, manage and maintain staff training.

  • Investigate all production issues, identifying root cause and implementing any necessary corrective actions.

  • I work closely with all other departments, ensuring success is delivered together.

  • Monitor, review and develop all production procedures where appropriate.

  • To keep up to date with latest production techniques.

  • To ensure all efficiencies are being utilized whilst meeting customer standards.
